Ascension Thursday
May 29th is the feast of the Ascension. The church celebrates this day on Sunday, June 1st but we will celebrate the feast on Thursday here at Ascension.
Please come to the 8:00 Mass with the children on the 29th and join us in prayer, May crowing, talent show and lunch. The schedule is as following:
- 8:00 Mass and May crowing
- 10:00 Talent show followed by lunch
- Lunch can be purchased at the school and will consist of: posole con tostada $3, quesadillas $1, churros $1, popcorn $1 and beverages $1. The CHILDREN WILL NOT have a regular school lunch that day.
Payments to the school
All the payments to the school with the exception of FACTS will need to be either cash or money order. Eight grade graduation fees of $150.00 must be paid no later than Monday, June 2nd.
Registration Fee
Registration fees for next school year are due now especially if you turned in your scholarship forms to CEF. CEF believes that all registration fees have been paid at the time of submitting your scholarship forms and will ask us to verify that payment has been made.
Service Hours
Families who have not completed service hours will receive a notice some time next week. Each hour is worth $10.00. If you have any questions please call the office.
Sunday Mass and food sale
There will be a food sale this Sunday 6/1 after the masses. We DO NOT need volunteers we need donations. We are in need of the following items: water, maseca, mozzarella cheese, oil, and foil paper. Please bring the items this Friday along with your receipts to the office.
Summer sports camp at Ascension
Ascension will be having a sports camp from June 30th – July 25th. Attached there is a flyer with more information.
Tech team
Mr.Stark will be having Ascension school tech team this summer from June 30th – July 25th. The cost will be $150.00 (the first 10 students who signup and pay get a $50 scholarship). For more information come to the office and pick up an application.

Friday 6/6- 8th grade student graduation lunch
- Monday—Spend sometime over the weekend to make them a card telling them that you will pray extra hard for them this week.
- Tuesday—Bring them a small snack for recess.
- Wednesday—Draw a picture of flowers for them or bring a flower from your garden.
- Thursday—APPLE DAY. Bring them a nice red juicy apple for lunch.
- Friday—Give them a BIG Hand Shake to say Thank You!!!!!

Jueves de la Ascensión
29 de mayo es la fiesta de la Ascensión. La Iglesia celebra este día el domingo 1 de junio, pero la escuela celebrara la fiesta el jueves aquí en Ascensión.
Por favor venga a la Misa de las 8:00am a celebrar con los niños el 29 y acompáñenos en oración, Coronación de María, show de talentos y un almuerzo. El horario es el siguiente:
• 8:00 Misa y Coronación de mayo
• 10:00 Concurso de talentos seguido de un almuerzo
• El almuerzo se venderá en la escuela y consistirá en: Pozole con tostada $ 3, quesadillas $ 1, churros$1, palomitas $1, y bebidas $1. Los niños no tendrán almuerzo de la escuela ese día.
Pagos a la escuela
Todos los pagos a la escuela con la excepción de los FACTS tendrán que ser en efectivo o giro postal. Pagos de graduación del octavo grados $150.00 dólares deben ser pagados a más tardar el lunes 2 de junio.
Pago de Inscripción
Las cuotas de inscripción para el próximo año escolar se deben pagar lo antes posible, especialmente si usted entregó sus aplicaciones de becas CEF. CEF asume que todos los pagos de inscripción han sido hechos en el momento de entregar su aplicaciones de becas y nos pedirán prueba de que el pago se ha realizado.
Horas de Servicio
Familias que no han completado las horas de servicio recibirán una nota la próxima semana. Cada hora vale $ 10.00. Si usted tiene preguntas por favor llame la oficina.
Misa del domingo y venta de la escuela
Este domingo 6/1 es nuestra misa de la escuela y venta de comida. NO NECESITAMOS VOLUNTARIOS! Si desea donar cosas necesitamos: agua, queso mozzarella, papel aluminio, y maseca, favor de traear estas cosas a más tardar para el viernes.
Campamento deportivo de verano en Ascensión
Ascensión tendrá un campo de deportes de junio 30 hasta el 25 de julio. Adjunto hay un folleto con más información.
Tech Team (equipo de computadoras)
Mr.Stark tendrá un programa de Tecnología en la escuela de la Ascensión este verano del 30 de junio a 25 de julio. El costo será de $ 150.00 (los primeros 10 estudiantes que se inscriben y paguen obtendrán una beca de $ 50). Para más información favor de venir a la oficina y recoger una solicitud.

Domingo 6/1- Venta de comida después de misa
6/2- 6/6-Semana de agradecimiento al personal
Miércoles 6/4- Salida a las doce del día
Viernes 6/6- Almuerzo para el octavo grado
- Lunes— Tomar un poco de su tiempo durante el fin de semana para hacerles una tarjeta diciéndoles que harán oración por ellos esta semana.
- Martes— Traerles un bocadillo para recreo
- Miércoles— Dibujar una flor para ellos o traerles una flor de su jardín.
- Jueves— DÍA DE MANZANA. Tráiganle una rica y deliciosa manzana para el almuerzo.
- Viernes— ¡¡Déles un GRAN ABRAZO para decir Gracias!!!!
